Former mayor of the city of Lorain, Chase Ritenauer, joins us for a discussion on entering politics as a profession. It’s not just for those who want to run for office. Many students who aspire to public service can get their start here at Lorain County Community College. We discuss the Public Administration major, internship opportunities and the Cleveland State partnership program that allows students to complete a bachelor’s degree without leaving LCCC.

Although Chase currently works for Republic Services and resides in the Chicago area, he also teaches two online classes through LCCC: Public Administration and American Government. Ritenauer obtained his A.A degree through LCCC, holds a bachelor’s and master’s degree in Public Administration and is a CPA, Certified Public Accountant.
