Prior to teaching at LCCC, Dr. Kestler taught at the Lerner Medical College of the Cleveland Clinic and held a faculty position in the department of Microbiology and Molecular Genetics at Harvard Medical School. For the past three decades, Dr. Kestler has studied infectious diseases. He is a worldwide leader on HIV-AIDS is credited with discovering the first live attenuated vaccine for the AIDS virus.
